The Mountain Bridge Chapter of TU is supporting Upstate Forever, South Carolina Native Plant Society and South Carolina Wildlife Federation (Appellants) via an amicus curaie brief (i.e., friend of the court) in the legal action brought against Greenville Water System and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (Respondents) regarding control of minimum flows of water from the Table Rock Reservoir into the South Saluda River and its potential impact on other impounded rivers in South Carolina. This appeal is now before the South Carolina Supreme Court. The Respondents have filed their briefs in opposition to this action brought by the Appellants. Likewise, the legal team for our chapter has filed its response to these opposing briefs. We await the Court's further actions.
