Two long time members and devoted volunteers of our chapter were awarded recognition for their exemplary service and dedication to Trout Unlimited and the Mountain Bridge Chapter. The awards were made at the monthly chapter meeting on January 18, 2016. Ironically, the awards were made to a husband - wife team that has provided outstanding service and been recognized by chapter, council and national Trout Unlimited.
Meta Armstrong was awarded the chapter's "Silver Trout Award" for her service and volunteer work over many, many years as an officer, board of directors member and leader in many important functions of the chapter. She has also served as the TU South Carolina Council Chair. It is noted with much pride that she was awarded Trout Unlimited's "Distinguished Service Award" by TU national at its annual meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico in September, 2014.
Dave Armstrong was awarded the chapter's "Distinguished Service Award" for his many, many years of dedicated service and volunteer work for TU. He has served the chapter as president, member of the board of directors and as pro-bono legal counsel, along with many special projects and tasks. He has also served as the pro-bono Legal Counsel to the TU national Board of Trustees for well over a decade.
Thank you, Dave and Meta for your long time dedicated and outstanding service to our chapter, our state council and the national TU organization!!
