When and Where For Meetings and Special Events!

Our meeting place is the Sears Shelter at 100 E. Park Avenue in Greenville, which is located adjacent to McPherson Park. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm with a meet and greet, and club business will kick off around 7:00 pm. Anyone needing directions can contact any of the board members by phone or email. Another alternative is to use a search engine such as Yahoo! to get driving directions and even print out a map.

July 13–14, 2010 - Forward Casting Annual Electro-Shock of Chattooga River. POSTPONED due to weather. Makeup date to be September 22-23

July 19, 2010 - Fly Tying Night. Those of you who would like to share your fly tying skills with others are invited to set up a table and demonstrate your art. The rest of you us non-tying members and newbies are invited to come learn what it takes to tie a few flies.

August 16 – Kelly Bandlow from Curtis Wright Outfitters will be presenting a slide show on fishing on the Situk River which produces over 50% of all the steelhead caught in Alaska.

August 27-29 - Harry Hampton Wildlife Show – MBTU is registered and will have a booth/table there. Simons will be asking for volunteers to staff the booth. Hours are: Friday 1 – 7pm; Sat. 10am – 7pm; Sun 11am – 5pm. Please call or email Simons to volunteer. Last year’s show was fun and there was lots to see.

September 20, 2010 - Larry Vickery, one of MBTU's founding members will be on hand to discuss the early history of the chapter and what it meant to the area. Don't miss this interesting history of MBTU's beginnings.

October 18, 2010 - Kevin Howell of Davidson River Outfitters and Andes Drifters will be here to talk about the incredible fishing opportunities in Argentina. Trophy trout and Golden Dorado are the name of the game. Kevin will be joined by one of Andes Drifters premium guides, Gonzalo Flego. Don't miss this one!
